Now, tell yourself that every word I say is going to be implanted in your mind and be printed, ingrained and embedded on your brain. 1. Every day, three times a day, in the morning, at midday and in the evening at the usual meal times, you will feel a healthy feel of hunger.

2. You will experience a sensation that makes you think, I think it would be better to get something healthy to eat.

3. Then, you eat and you enjoy the flavor of your food without overeating. You are also careful to chew properly, and you transform food into some form of soft paste before you ingest it.

4. By doing this, you easily digest your food in a healthy manner and you feel fine in your stomach/intestines. Your body will assimilate what youve eaten and your body will make proper use of it to make blood, muscle, strength and energy, in a word — life.

Since you have well digested your food, your bowel function will be absolutely normal and every morning on arising, you will feel the need of emptying your bowels without ever needing to take any laxative medicines. Your properly eating of fruits and vegetables, grains, other healthy food items balances your entire system.

A 2009 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association concluded that individuals who ate a Mediterranean diet (comparatively high in fruits, vegetables, fish, and olive oil) and exercised regularly enjoyed a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease by as much as 50 percent.

In the diet and exercise study, researchers followed 1,880 subjects for an average of five and a half years. Exercise alone could decrease the risk by as much as 50 percent, and diet alone could decrease the risk by as much as 40 percent. Exercise, then, appears to be an even more powerful than diet when it comes to Alzheimer’s prevention.

High Fructose Corn Syrup Causes High Blood Pressure

WebMD recently reported that high fructose corn syrup in soft drinks can drive up your blood pressure, even if you’re otherwise healthy, according to a new study from the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center in Aurora, Colorado.

Diana Jalal, MD a researcher said “High fructose intake is linked to high blood pressure,”.

So how much soda does it take to cause high blood pressure? Jalal says it takes only two and half sugary soft drinks a day to elevate blood pressure!

The study examined 4,528 adults, all age 18 or older, who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey in 2003 and 2006. None of the participants had a history of high blood pressure. Participants were surveyed about diet, and fructose intake was estimated based on answers about consumption of soft drinks, fruit juices, candy, and other types of foods. The researchers did not include the natural fructose from fruits in this study. Natural fructose is not harmful because other substances (like antioxidants) in whole fruits counteract any harmful effects. The study found that the median fructose intake was 74 grams per day – approximately 2.5 sugary soft drinks a day.

The trial participants who are given 74 grams of fructose or more responded with 36 higher risk of having high blood pressure. The researchers found the link between high blood pressure and high fructose intake even though they varied the factors like age, level of activity, intake of calorie ans salt.

Dr Jalal, MD elaborated this by saying “We know that fructose has the potential to reduce nitric oxide production within the blood vessels,”. “Nitric oxide relaxes the vessel and is supposed to lower blood pressure. Fructose reduces the production of nitric oxide and makes it difficult for the vessels to relax and dilate.”

The following has been commented by Maureen Storey of American Beverage Association “It’s important to remember that this is an abstract presented at a scientific meeting. It is not a published, peer-reviewed paper where the study, the data and the results and conclusions have undergone the rigors of peer review. There is nothing unique about soft drinks and/or high fructose corn syrup when it comes to risk for high blood pressure.”

Fruits naturally contains fructose. Fructose products such as high fructose corn syrup does carry a health problem as suggested from different studies even though the beverage association comment otherwise. And a latest research has found that the samples tested on high fructose corn syrup contains substance of mercury.

More research is under way, but for the time being, the best way to avoid increased risk of high blood pressure is to avoid refined fructose altogether! This means you’ll have to avoid many soft drinks, fruit juices, baked goods, and candies. Many of these foods are simply sources of empty calories, anyway. Stop drinking soft drinks, and you’ll notice the benefits soon. Even the majority of breads contain high fructose corn syrup! Read labels, and look for natural choices. If you’re a die-hard fan of soft drinks, you can actually find some brands that are still made with natural sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup.

Regular exercise reduce the risk of getting high blood pressure considerably. One should consider exercise as a medicine it need not be heavy and rigorous. You can opt for simple and easy exercise. The researchers were surprised to find that the mice fed a high protein / low carb diet had brains five percent lighter compared to all other groups! Further, some regions of the hippocampus were less developed in the brains of these mice. The scientists speculate that a high-protein diet may leave brain cells more vulnerable to the plaque associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

“Given the previously reported association of high protein diet with aging-related neurotoxicity, one wonders whether particular diets, if ingested at particular ages, might increase susceptibility to incidence or progression of Alzheimer’s disease,” commented lead author of the study Sam Grandy, a professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and neurologogist at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Bronx.

What is the reason behind a high protein diet leads way to the contribution of Alzheimer’s disease? The main factor can be inflammation.
